4:1 Ladder Line Balun
The Centaur Ladder Line Balun has been designed to match 50 ohm coax to 200 or 450 ohm ladder line. Ladder Line is connected to the two (2) #10 binding posts with wing nuts at the side.
The balun should be mounted in the vertical position with the condensation drain holes pointed directly downward. Suspension of the balun from the top stainless steel eye bolt is recommended. The best results are usually achieved by hooking the balun under the eves of the shack and running ladder line to the feed point of the antenna. Best results are achieved with a balanced antenna cut to the center of the frequency desired.
